Bicester Town manager Tim Fowler could pitch defender Dan Leggett into attack when they host Bristol Manor Farm in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Leggett got the second goal in their 2-0 win at home to Shrivenham in Tuesday's FTL Futbol Hellenic League Premier Division opener.
"He has played all pre-season in defence," said Fowler, who will be without Polish player Karol Stowinski, who is awaiting international clearance.
"But with Ben Elkington and Shaun Lambourne being brought in, I thought playing Dan up there was our best option.
"He started off for me last year playing up there and did a good job."
Fowler added: "I was pleased with our performance. We looked very sharp and overall we deserved to win.
"They were quite a direct side, but we dealt with it very well."
Town are also without Sam Houlihan and Felipe Barcelos (both on holiday).
Fowler says Western League side Manor Farm will be tough.
He said: "They drew 3-3 at Barnstaple on Saturday and beat Corsham 4-1 on Tuesday."
Ardley United will be without Adam Richmond when they travel to Spartan League side Chalfont St Peter.
The defender is unavailable for the clash with the reward for victory a home tie against Harrow Hill in the next round.
Boss Kevin Brock said Chalfont were an unknown quantity.
He said: "They finished second last season, but they lost 3-2 on Saturday and 4-2 on Tuesday.
"It's difficult to judge two games in."
Meanwhile, Ardley drew 2-2 at Hungerford in their league opener.
Trailing 2-0 to Marc Green and Graham Edney strikes, goals from Sam Ibrahim and Tom Green secured a point.
Brock added: "It took us a while to get started, but we showed a lot of character to come back."
