BICESTER Town are still second in Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East, despite recording a 2-0 victory at home to Sandhurst Town on Saturday.

Penn & Tylers Green stayed ahead of them on goal difference following a 4-2 success against Thame Rangers.

Ricardo Benjamin put Bicester ahead after 20 minutes from the penalty spot and Elliott Powell doubled their advantage five minutes after the break.

The hosts never looked like surrendering their lead against their fourth-placed opponents.

Bicester have another chance to regain the leadership with a match at home to bottom-placed Milton United on Saturday.

Ardley United still top Division 1 West, even though their match away to Clanfield 85 on Saturday was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
