DEREK Fazackerley has paid up after the Football Association rejected his appeal to a charge from last month's trip to Peterborough United.
The Oxford United assistant head coach threw a water bottle in the air in celebration after Joe Rothwell scored in the 4-1 win.
It landed in the stand and referee Tom Nield sent him off.
Fazackerley wrote a letter of mitigation after being charged, but has now paid the fine.
He said: "My business with the FA was cleared, yes. They stuck to their guns unfortunately.
"I did what I did, there was no malice in it, but unfortunately I’ve had to pay the consequences.
"That’s football, it’s my first one in 40-odd years."
