ARDLEY United continued their impressive winning start to the season with a 3-0 victory over New College.

Deon Gallacher, Tom Moore and Troy Bryan fired the north Oxon side to an eighth successive victory in Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 West.

Craig Adey’s side broke the deadlock on 38 minutes as Gallacher found the bottom corner.

Ardley doubled their lead early in the second half, thanks to Moore’s 35-yard strike.

And on 62 minutes it was 3-0, Bryan, on his return to the club, netting.

Bicester Town’s hopes of progressing in the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup were ended in a 2-0 defeat at Division 1 East counterparts Sandhurst Town on Saturday.

But they shrugged off that defeat and got straight back to winning ways on Tuesday night.

Elliott Powell scored twice, and Wayne Blossom also netted, as the Foxhunters beat Chinnor 3-2 in the league to go top.

l Nine-man Launton Sports lost 2-0 at home to Mansfield Road in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division.

The hosts had Denny Bishop sent off in the first half, before Luke Phillips was shown a

second yellow card after the break.

Despite their advantage, Mansfield only killed the game off with ten minutes to go.
