EDDIE Nix has quit as Bicester Town’s joint boss after helping guide the club to fifth place in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East this season.

The 59-year-old, who shared the duties with John Prpa, cites family reasons for ending his second spell at the club.

The father of five, who has been been involved in football management for more than 20 years said: “I’ve still got some young kids, and as my job takes me away a lot of the time, I want to see more of them.”

Nix also said, it had been increasingly difficult to attract new players to the club, as they do not have a ground in the town.

For the past two seasons, the club have used Ardley United’s ground, but an agreement to play there next season is not yet in place.
