A DEPLETED Bicester Town went down 1-0 at Finchampstead in Division 1 East of the Uhlsport Hellenic League on Saturday.

The hosts were short of six regulars, including the injured Adam Beckett and suspended Gavin Kidd.

They suffered a further blow when Harry Brock was sent off in the second half after receiving two yellow cards.

Despite the changes, Bicester started well and found the net after 15 minutes, but Elliott Powell’s effort was ruled out for offside.

Brock was booked for dissent in the first half and received his second yellow after the break, when he put his hand on the shoulder of a Finchampstead player, who went down.

This changed the game, although Bicester still looked the likelier side to score.

There followed a ten-minute delay following an injury to Kieran Scott, who had to leave the field.

On resumption, Finchampstead broke down the right and smashed home the winning goal.

Bicester kept pushing forward Danny Bone, Adam Garner ,Elliott Powell were unable to convert chances,

This Saturday, Bicester will be hoping for better luck at home to Holyport Town.
