OXFORD United will field a mixture of youth and experience when they travel to Kidlington for tonight’s Oxfordshire Senior Cup quarter-final clash (7.45).

Christian Ribeiro and Sam Long are expected to play, having made their comebacks from injury last week in a friendly against Vancouver Whitecaps.

United’s squad also includes Jack Stevens, Charlie Raglan, Miles Welch-Hayes, Canice Carroll, Josh Ashby, James Roberts and Jordan Graham.

In last night's two quarter-final clashes, Oxford City and Banbury United progressed.

City needed penalties before seeing off Thame United.

After a goalless 90 minutes and extra time, City, who signed Kaiman Anderson on loan from Shrewsbury Town earlier in the day, won 4-2 on spot-kicks.

Things were much easier for Banbury, however, who booked their place in the last four with a 3-0 win over Hook Norton.

James Smith, Darius Browne, Ricky Johnson found the net for Mike Ford’s side.

Banbury’s debutant keeper Jasko Keranovic sealed a good night for the Puritans, saving a late penalty to ensure a clean sheet.

  • OXFORD United will face Luton Town in the semi-finals of the Checkatrade Trophy after their opponents saw off Yeovil Town 5-2 last night.

The winners will take on Coventry City at Wembley on Sunday, April 2 after the Sky Blues defeated Wycombe Wanderers 2-1.

The game is due to take place on Wednesday, March 1 (7.45pm).

However, this depends on United not earning a replay against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.

Should the U's draw at the Riverside, the replay would take precedence and be played on Tuesday, February 28.

In that case the Checktrade Trophy game would be moved to Monday, March 6 (7pm) and the home game against Sheffield United in League 1, scheduled for Tuesday, March 7 would be postponed.

United's home league game against Fleetwood Town, to be played on Tuesday, February 28 has been postponed.
