TONY Allen will step down as chairman of Bicester Town Colts and Bicester United FC today after seven years in the role.
Allen, who is also chairman of the Bicester Sports Association (BSA), will officially leave the role at this evening’s AGM.
During his time at the helm he helped establish a senior team at Bicester United, who won promotion to the Oxford Senior League last season.
He also assisted in expanding the colts section, which now has about 150 players aged between five and 18 years old.
A new chairman will be appointed tonight, with Allen wishing to focus on his role with the BSA.
He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my involvement with the football club over the past seven years but now is the right time for me to step aside and let someone else take the reins.”
