Oakley United lifted the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division title on goal difference following a dramatic week.
The Buckinghamshireside had it all to do as they trailed leaders Oxford University Press by three points with each side having two games left.
But OUP’s 1-0 defeat by Marston Saints handed the initiative to Oakley, who defeated Horspath 3-0 before taking the title with a 4-1 final-day win against Eynsham.
OUP were handed a walkover by Riverside as they finished level on points with Oakley.
But Oakley won the crown for the second time in their history, with a vastly-superior goal difference.
Hosts Eynsham frustrated Oakley, but second-half strikes from Kevin Poole, Sean Coles, Tom Grant and Kieron Schmidt proved the difference.
Jack Smith’s penalty was in vain as Oakley celebrated their title glory.
