Ardley United coasted to a 6-1 win at home to Chinnor in the second round of the Uhlsport Hellenic League's Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup on Saturday.

Doubles from Ricky John-son, Kieran Scott and Callum Convey, including a penalty, proved too much for their Division 1 East visitors.

Ardley opened their acco-unt in the 14th minute when Johnson controlled a cross from Scott before wrong-footing a defender and firing past Ben Taunton in the visitors’ goal.

The hosts doubled their lead on the half-hour when Scott ran on to Johnson’s flick-on before rifling home from an acute angle.

Just before the break, Ardley went 3-0 up.

Taunton tipped away Johnson’s shot, but when the resulting corner came in, the striker hammered it into the far corner.

It was 4-0 on 64 minutes when Convey’s free-kick, awarded for a foul on substitute Jon Gardner, was deflected past Taunton.

Chinnor clawed a goal back when former Ardley striker Alex Feaver headed a cross past Jack Harding in the home side’s goal.

Ardley sealed their nap hand when Luke Ingram was brought down and Convey sent Taunton the wrong way with the resulting spot-kick for his second of the contest.

Scott completed his brace when he slotted home No 6 from an acute angle to wrap-up an emphatic victory.

On Saturday, Ardley host Bracknell Town in the Premier Division.
