Launton Sports picked up their first Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division win of the season with a 2-1 home victory over Horspath on Saturday.

Mark Wickens headed the hosts in front, only for Arron Leman to equalise.

However, Mark Scanes capitalised on a defensive error to net the winner.

Bletchingdon were thum-ped 4-1 at home by Mansfield Road.

They were 3-0 down in the opening 15 minutes to goals from Roger Gill (2) and Luis McGillycuddy.

Bletchingdon rallied, with Simon Grossman missing a penalty before Todd Parker Hunt pulled a goal back.

But McGillycuddy added a second to seal the rout.

Steve Gardener hit a second-half double as ten-man Charlton United maintained their perfect start to the Division 1 campaign, with a 2-0 win at Yarnton.

That was despite Paul O’Neill’s sending off.

Bletchingdon Res are still looking for their first win after losing 10-0 against Kidlington Old Boys.

Kristian Thomas (4), Tom Williams (2), Chris Fujak (2), Danny Burrows and Tom Knox did the damage.

In Division 2, Tom Sullivan scored two own goals as Charlton Res lost 6-2 at home by Oxford University Press Res in Division 2.

The hosts led 2-1 at half-time, thanks to a Chris Staker brace, James Humm replying.

Sullivan brought OUP level, before Josh Jelfs (2) and Humm made it 6-1.

In the last minute, Sullivan headed into his own net to complete an unwanted brace.
