Charlie Pieton and Miguel Zilvetti helped themselves to braces as Launton Boys stormed to a 5-1 win at Ducklington in the Giles Sports Under 15 Witney Youth League Knockout Cup.

The tie was switched to Launton as Ducklington’s pitch was waterlogged, and the hosts took advantage.

Launton opened the scoring mid-way through the first half when Jake Ormrod’s pass found Pieton who finished well.

Zilvetti doubled their lead after good work from Ormrod.

George Coombes made it 3-0 when his hopeful long-distance shot trickled in after the keeper slipped.

Early in the second half, it was 4-0 when Coombes set up Zilvetti for his second goal.

Although Ducklington pulled one back through Robert Frost, Pieton competed his brace after Zilvetti and Ben Baldwin exchanged passes.

A goal from Thomas Johnson was in vain for Chesterton Juniors as they lost 2-1 at home to Eynsham Youth in the Under 10 White Lea-gue.

Harry Harraway put the visitors ahead and the same player doubled their advantage after the break with a thunderbolt of a shot.

Chesterton retained their composure and clawed one back when Johnson’s corner went straight in at the near post.

However, despite their efforts, Chesterton were unable to find an equaliser.
