DAN Savin hit an unbeaten 76 and Lewis Moore 51 to guide Bicester & North Oxford to a 151-run victory at Horley in the Cherwell League.

The visitors were languishing on 141-7 in the Division 3 clash.

But Savin and Moore put on a 126-run partnership to help Bicester post 284 all out.

Horley fell well short in reply as Daniel Clarke took 5-21, while Savin enjoyed a good spell with the ball, claiming 2-18, to help dismiss the hosts for 133.

In Division 1, Twyford saw off hosts Horspath 2nd by four wickets.

The home side set 215 all out, but Twyford needed only 34.1 overs to seal victory as Shabaz Alam struck 88.

Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts lost by three wickets at newly-crowned Division 2 champions Buckingham Town 2nd.

Relegated Nondies were all out for 154, but took seven Buckingham wickets, Ross Brown claiming 3-31.

Steve Brunning hit 55 as the visitors reached 158-7.

Westbury 2nd were denied Division 7’s second promotion spot by Witney Mills 2nd.

They posted 170-8, Tom Boardman hitting 55, but Mills clung on for a draw at 131-8.

Bicester & North Oxford 2nd beat Aston Rowant by 118 runs.

They finished on 263-4, thanks to Haris Naeem (60no), Ben Clark (54no) and Matt Collins (42).

Kishan Dave then took 4-24 as Rowant were all out for 147.

In the OCA League, Westcott won an extraordinary Division 2 clash at home to Wantage as the visitors slumped from 78-1 to 83 all out.

Ten-man Wantage looked set for a decent total as Colin Mercer hit 38 not out.

But when he lost partner Ryan Martin for 23, Wantage subsided with six ducks in a row.

Tanveer Hussain took 5-45, before Keegan Collier (49) steered Westcott to 84-1.

Marsh Gibbon’s season ended with a five-wicket defeat against visitors Witney Swifts.

Batting first, Marsh Gibbon were shot out for 128, Stuart Leonard top-scoring with 50 and Charlie Fisher taking 4-30 and Robert Godwin 4-43.

Alfie Saunders (42no) and Alex Howells (37) shone in Swifts’ reply as they reached 129-5.

Brill secured the Division 4 title with a six-wicket win at home to Marcham.

Andy Wynd (4-30), Ben Jackson (3-16) and Tom Broughton (3-39) combined to bowl Marcham out for 103.

Jeremy Mansfield’s 46 not out then led Brill to 104-4.

In Division 7, Chesterton beat Witney Swifts 2nd by one wicket.

Jimmy Appleton (4-8), James Vickers (3-0) and Garry Appleton (3-1) combined to dismiss Swifts for 89.

Chesterton lost nine wickets, sneaking to victory at 90-9.
