DEVANE Warner and Tom Weymes helped Twyford end Long Marston’s Division 1 title hopes with a six-wicket victory.

Warner (4-43) and Weymes (3-36) combined to dismiss Marston for 149 in the Cherwell League encounter.

Atif Ali hit 45 to steer Twyford to 152-4.

In Division 2, Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts fell to a nine-wicket defeat to Didcot.

Nondies were shot out for 101, Rob Keat taking 5-61.

Didcot took just 23.3 overs to reach 104-1, Vishane Perera hitting 33 not out.

Westbury lost by 57 runs at newly-crowned Division 3 champions Wolverton.

Charlie Purton (3-44) helped to bowl the hosts out for 146.

But a super spell from Idrees Butt (4-25), backed up by Haroon Malik (3-27), sent Westbury tumbling to 89 all out.

Mohammed Fayyaz took 5-21 as Twyford 2nd thrashed hosts Sandford St Martin 2nd by eight wickets to keep their promotion hopes alive in Division 6.

Sandford, who played with nine men, were bowled out for 67 as Fayyaz ran riot.

Twyford took just 13.3 overs to ease to 68-2.

In Division 10, Bicester & North Oxford 3rd held Minster Lovell 3rd to a draw.

Ashley Horne’s 102 not out helped Minster to 268-3, Neil Spearman adding 72 and Russ Whitlock 50.

Bicester shut up shop from the start, crawling to 91-7 to deny Minster maximum points.

In the OCA League, eight-man Marsh Gibbon suffered an eight-wicket defeat to Clifton Hampden.

Three wickets each for Darren Clark and Jack Stimpson sent the strugglers tumbling to 54 all out, Clifton easing in at 57-2 in the Division 2 clash.

Westcott also lost, falling to a nine-wicket defeat at Eynsham.

They were all out for 102 as Mark Weller took 5-11 and Roland Margerison 4-42.

Ben Smitten (41no) and Sam Jones (33) led Eynsham to 103-1.

Brill closed in on the Division 4 title after beating Deddington by nine wickets.

They restricted Deddington to 102-5, which proved no problem for Brill as Andy Wynd (62) led them to 103-1.

Jimmy Appleton’s incredible haul of 8-17 helped Chesterton to a 17-run win at Middleton Cheney 2nd in Division 7.

Westcott 2nd lost by 108 runs to Wolvercote 3rd in Division 8 North.
