WAQAS Ur-Rehman played a starring role in Westcott’s eight-wicket win at Marcham in OCA League Division 3 on Saturday.
He took 6-43 to dismiss Marcham for just 113, before hitting 44 not out as Westcott eased home at 117-2.
Marsh Gibbon’s hopes of avoiding relegation from Division 2 were severely dented by an 89-run defeat at home to Wantage.
The visitors set 188-7 as Barry Martin hit 68, while Sam Richardson took 3-46.
Will Harvey then claimed 4-16 and Martin 3-9 as Marsh were shot out for only 99.
Hanborough beat visitors Fringford by three wickets.
Fringford were restricted to 158-8, John Bacon hitting 56 not out.
Brill won their top-of-the-table clash at home to Bampton by three wickets to keep alive their outside Division 5 title hopes.
Tom Broughton took 4-28 and Andy Wynd 3-25 to help restrict Bampton to 137-9.
Wynd then hit 40 and Andy Parke 35 as Brill edged home at 138-7.
In Division 9, youngster Jamie Wiles took his first five-wicket haul in senior cricket as Westcott 2nd beat visitors Deddington 2nd by three wickets.
Wiles claimed 5-29 in Deddington’s 148 all out, and then Jason Lowe hit 46 not out to steer Westcott to 149-7, Luke Jones taking 5-39.
