RELEGATION-threatened Marsh Gibbon posted an outstanding five-wicket win to move away from the danger zone in Division 2.
Grant Cross’s 3-33 helped to restrict the home side to 131 all out in the OCA League clash, and then Joe Leonard hit 81 not out as Marsh Gibbon reached 133-5.
Fringford lost an exciting match at Tetsworth by 16 runs in Division 3.
Nikunj Patel top-scored with 77 in the hosts’ 227-9.
John Bacon (78no) and Jonny Reid (77) shone with the bat for Fringford, but they finished short of the target on 211-7.
It was the Andy Wynd show once again at Brill, who thumped West Witney by nine wickets.
Wynd stole the show as he took 5-48 in West Witney’s 156 all out, before hitting 84 not out as Brill raced to 157-1.
In Division 9, leaders Chesterton were struggling at 92-6 at one stage, only to go on to post 219 all out in a 65-run victory against Westcott 2nd.
David Gilday (57) and Simon Morse (32) dug Chesterton out of the hole, Pete Avery taking 4-37.
Daren Trinder then took 3-27 as Westcott were restricted to 154-8.
