A BRILLIANT all-round display from Andy Wynd dominated Brill’s five-wicket victory at Kennington in OCA League Division 5 on Saturday.

The former Horspath player took 4-5 in 5.3 overs to help skittle the hosts for 88.

Wynd then dominated Brill’s reply, hitting 63 not out as they reached 91-5 to stay second in the table.

A fine innings from Stuart Leonard was in vain for Marsh Gibbon as they fell to a four-wicket defeat at high-flying Chadlington in Division 2 on Saturday.

Toby Strong took 3-24 and Danny Harding 3-43 to restrict Marsh to 161-7, despite Leonard hitting 73 not out.

Mark Lambert (59) and Freddie Magee (45) then saw Chadlington to 163-6.

In Division 3, Westcott stayed in touch at the top after a 43-run win at Stanton Harcourt, and it was done the hard way.

With most of the Westcott team stuck in traffic, the umpires deducted the visitors’ seven overs, and they began the game still four players short.

They grafted to a modest 114-9, but got their act together with the ball.

Alimar Khan took 5-11 from 12 overs to skittle Stanton for just 71.

Even that represented a slight recovery for Stanton, who at one stage were reeling on 13-7.

The Target Score method decided the outcome at Kilkenny, where Fringford lost by nine runs.

Chris May (67) and Daniel Floyd (53no) helped the Carterton side to 201-6.

Fringford were set a revised target of 145 from 27 overs, but they managed only 136-6 as Darren Gordon took 4-24.
