WESTCOTT’S match at Eynsham was one of only a handful of OCA League matches to survive the latest weekend deluge, but they would have wished it had not as they crashed to a six-wicket defeat in Division 3.
They were tumbled out for a paltry 34 in wet conditions as Eynsham’s Sam Hollingshead took 7-22.
Dave Harris also claimed 3-10 for Eynsham, but they reached 36-4 to record victory.
In Division 9, Chesterton beat visitors Hanney 2nd by eight wickets.
Hanney were restricted to 86-7 in a reduced 25 overs, Philip Austin hitting 53 not out and Daren Trinder taking 3-7.
Chesterton needed 21 overs to reach the target, and, helped by Adrian Brooker’s 33 not out, they won by eight wickets at 87-2.
