William Goodman and John Mackie hit 85 apiece as Tiddington romped to a nine-wicket victory at home to Abingdon Vale in Division 2.

Goodman was unbeaten in his knock, taking Tiddington to 205-1.

Earlier, Dan King had made 91 not out in Vale’s 202, with Tom Allen adding 62. Sam Hollingshead (4-61) did the damage with the ball.

Ben Jones impressed with bat and ball in Challow & Childrey’s nine-wicket demolition of Hanborough.

Jones took 3-23 and Joe Harris 4-21 as Hanborough were skittled for 115 – despite 47 from Mark Busby and 34 from Michael Dove.

Challow raced then to 119-1, Jones top-scoring with 48 not out and Jimmy Phillips finishing unbeaten on 42.

Banbury 2nd could not capitalise on a century from Ed Phillips as they drew with Great & Little Tew in the battle of the relegated clubs.

Phillips hit 103 not out in Banbury’s 215-7, with Chris Board adding 32 and Anthony Smith taking 3-45.

Lloyd Brock led the way with 55 in Tew’s 193-6, Paul Catling adding 51 not out and Mark Perry 31. Richard Brooks took 3-59 for Banbury, but they could not force a win.

Leighton James starred with 5-28 as Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts eased to a 91-run victory over Sandford St Martin.

Only Chris Thompson offered any resistance in Sandford’s 129 all out.

Earlier, Jeremy Liddy (68), Tim Rattigan (47), Andy Buckingham (34) and Pablo Mukherjee (30no) helped Nondies to 220-5.

That was despite Greg Pearson taking 4-64

Ugandan Hamza Saleh (80no) and Jaimie Noble (74no) batted Bourton Vale to a nine-wicket victory at Long Marston.

Bourton shared the wickets as the hosts were restricted to 206-7, then Saleh and Noble finished the job.
