SEB Jewell comes in at full back for his first start of the season as London Welsh take on Gloucester at the Kassam Stadium tomorrow (3).

The inclusion of Jewell, who kicked the winning conversion against Exeter as a replacement, sees Tom Arscott move to the wing and Phil Mackenzie drop to the bench.

Fit-again back-row forward Alfie To’oala is restored to the bench in place of Ed Will-iamson.

Welsh’s replacement scrum half, Nick Runciman, rejoined the club from Gloucester last summer.

For Gloucester, former England captain Mike Tindall replaces Henry Trinder at outside centre.

Hooker Huia Edmonds comes in for Darren Dawidiuk (knee).

England No 8 Ben Morgan is ruled out with a dead calf, so Sione Kalamafoni moves across to his position and Peter Buxton comes in at blindside flanker.

Gloucester director of rugby Nigel Davies said: “I think that the two sides that Welsh have beaten probably didn’t give them enough respect and, because of that, they finished on the wrong end of the result.

“They’re a very strong team, a proud side. They’ve got a lot of points to prove, individually and collectively, and, if you get it wrong against them, they will beat you.”
