Barton United roared back from two goals down to win 4-2 at Kings Arms Wheatley and claim their first points in the Critchleys Upper Thames Valley League Premier League, writes TIM SIRET.

Wheatley seemed on course for victory after Aftab Hafiz’s double, but Barton hit back through Aaron Williams (2), Dominic Bruno and Paul Hedger.

Oxford Sports & Social Club – formerly Rover Cowley – kick-started their season with a 6-1 win at Dorchester United.

Johnny McMahon grabbed a double, with Tom Hayday, Craig Hambridge, Andy McMahon and Ryan Macer adding to the tally. Mark Ingram came off the bench to score for Dorchester.

Dan Smith smashed a six-timer as Division 1 leaders Railway Wheatley inflicted a first defeat on Saxton Pirates with an amazing 9-4 home win.

Shaun Liptrot, Sam Graham and Rhys Veal also steamed in with strikesfor Railway, while Darren Smee smashed all four of the Pirates’ goals.

Brightwell remain unbeaten following a 4-0 home win over Rutherford Lab.

Elliot Middleton scored in the first minute, with further strikes from Dave Norris, Ben Cordery and Wayne Mangan wrapping up the win.

Tomasz Samoluk fired a four-timer in Zubry Oxford’s 7-4 success at Northway.

Sebastian Ciekielski also netted, with two own goals proving costly for Northway.

AFC Crowmarsh sent King & Queen Wheatley spinning to a 4-1 defeat.

Jim Lee’s brace for the hosts included a penalty, with Tim Holtom and Tom Banks also on target. Jordan Reid replied.

Two spectacular goals from Mike McKirnan, plus a brace from substitute Steve Hedges, secured a 4-1 home win for Didcot Casuals over Standlake Garage, whose reply came from Gary Mitchell.

Red Lion Islip began their campaign with a thumping 9-4 home win against Sutton Revolution.

Jimmy Deabill hit a hat-trick for Red Lion, whose other goals came from Carl Hibbins, Chris Thorne, John Webb, Adam Wells, Andy Wheeler and Alex Gardner, while Sutton replied through Chris Shahab (2), Jack Matthews and Jon Hill.

Sporting Headington Academicals drew 2-2 at home to Forest Hill in Division 2.

Accies led through Max Burton and Peter Lefort, but Jackson Cole twice equalised.
