Striker Steve Basham believes that Oxford City have got a good chance of continuing their impressive start to life in the Blue Square North when they travel to Harrogate Town tomorrow.
Having drawn 2-2 at home to Altrincham last weekend, where they played with ten men for 50 minutes, after Chris Willmott was sent off, Basham says they have what it takes to play at this level.
“You quietly think to yourself that you’ve got a chance, because seeing the lads we’ve got in the dressing room, you know you’ve got a chance in every game,” he said.
“There’s a lot of ability in there and it’s just a case of can we put it together, all of us at the same time, and we have seemed to do that quite a bit this year and it shows.
“We’ve picked up 11 points (from seven games) and I think all credit to the team, the management. We deserve every point of those.”
