OLIVER Clark beat off a strong challenge from his father, Andy, to win Didcot Phoenix’s prestigious Hill Climb Championship at Goring and Streatley.
With defending champion Ron Smith absent, it was close after the first leg as Clark junior led his dad by just eight seconds.
In the second leg up Streatley Hill, Oliver stormed clear to win the club’s biggest event of the season, with Andy second.
Third place went to new member Sam Dorkings.
