OXFORD’S Hannah England will run her final track race of the season at the IAAF World Challenge in Rieti, Italy, on Sunday.

The 25-year-old Oxford City athlete competes in the 1,500m, looking to end her campaign on a positive note.

England, the world 1,500m silver medallist in 2011, has yet to run faster than the 4mins 4.05secs she recorded on her seasonal bow at the Fanny Blankers-Koen Games in May.

That was also when she suffered the Achilles injury which played a big part in her not reaching the Olympic final.

England said: “I’m looking forward to my last 1,500m of the season and am excited to be in what should be a fast race.

“Following this I have two road miles left in Newcastle and New York.”

England followed up her sixth place in the Zurich Diamond League 1,500m last week with third spot over 800m in the Meeting Internazionale in Padova, Italy.

She clocked 2.01.63 to finish behind Russia’s Elena Kofanova and Kenya’s Eunice Jepkoech.

OXFORDSHIRE hurdler Lawrence Clarke competes in the Brussels Diamond League meeting tomorrow night.

The 22-year-old, from Christmas Common, who finished fourth at London 2012, lines up in the 110m hurdles alongside Olympic champion Aries Merritt.
