East Oxford’s late charge towards the OCA League Division 1 title continued as they went top of the table.

They beat Westbury by 12 runs in a thrilling clash, while previous leaders Garsington crashed to a 17-run home defeat against Charlbury.

At Westbury, Hammad Kiyani led the way with 57 as East Oxford rattled up 185-9 from their 45 overs, Richard Tredwell taking 5-41.

Westbury were always up with the rate, Sam Harper hitting 39.

But Ali Malik claimed 3-43 as Westbury were all out for 173.

Youngster Ben Geeson-Brown scored 101 to help Charlbury see off Garsington.

Charlbury posted 222-8, Mohammed Sarfraz claiming 4-47.

Rudi Esterhuizen then claimed 5-33 to help dismiss the home side for 205, despite 74 from Asif Shah.

At the foot of the table, Minster Lovell’s Eddie Dunn had a great day to help his side to a crucial five-wicket win over Broughton & North Newington.

Dunn claimed 6-25 in Broughton’s 137 all out and then scored 44 as Minster reached 138-5.

Great Horwood remain rooted to the bottom after a five-wicket defeat at Hook Norton.

Dan White (4-18) and Paul Souch (3-35) combined as Horwood were dismissed for 134, before Melvyn Riley hit 75 not out in Hook Norton’s 136-5.

Dipayan Das scored 82 to help Oxenford to a three-wicket win over Shrivenham.

Mark Whale’s 80 not out saw Shrivenham to 221-5.

But Das led the way in Oxenford’s reply as they reached 222-7.

Chadlington thrashed Freeland by 142 runs to move a step closer to the Division 2 title.

Mark Lambert (48) and Danny Harding (41) led Chadlington to 187 all out, before Steven Hunt claimed 5-18 as Freeland were skittled out for 45.

East & West Hendred maintained their challenge with a 96-run win against Tetsworth.

Jon Francis (62) led the way for Hendred in their 238-6.

Tetsworth were all out for 140 as Miles Martin took 4-43.

Oxford Caribbean were far too strong for Marsh Gibbon as they cruised to a 204-run win.

Dave Prosper (84) and Eddie Howard (62) starred in Caribbean’s 289 all out.

Marsh Gibbon were then rolled over for 85.

Ian Oglesby starred with bat and ball to help Faringdon to a 50-run win over Stonesfield.

Oglesby scored 76 in Faringdon’s 193 all out, before claiming 4-14 as Stonesfield were dismissed for 143, Rob Owen also taking 4-22.

Basement boys Watlington beat Westcott by four wickets.

Westcott posted a useful 214-5 as Martin Bowden hit 72 not out and Nick Raynor 59.

But Owen Lewis (70no) led Watlington’s reply as they reached 216-6.

A ten-wicket victory for Chipping Norton at Hailey moved them closer to the Division 3 crown.

Kevin Duester (4-34) and Matthew Molyneux (3-12) helped to dismiss Hailey for 118, before Ben Tew (62no) and Ian Widdows (45no) led Chippy to 121-0.

Clifton Hampden edged out Britwell Salome by five runs.

Morley Benson top-scored with 58 in Clifton’s 188 all out, Neil Lawrence (4-29) the pick of the Britwell bowlers.

Matt Luxford then scored 73 and Kevin Slater 46 in Britwell’s reply, but they finished just short on 183-8.

Omar Hussain was the star of the show for Radley as they thumped West Ilsley by 155 runs.

Hussain top-scored with 57 not out in Radley’s 223-5, and then claimed 5-9 as West Ilsley’s ten men crawled to 68-8.

Umar Ishaq hit 71 and took 4-28 to help East Oxford 2nd to a six-wicket win against Combe.

Witney Swifts were edged out by one wicket at Winslow Town.

Colin Priest (62) led Swifts to 166-7, only for Winslow to reach 169-9 as Jamie Litherland hit 46.

Cairns Fudge were the first team to wrap up promotion as they thrashed Kennington by ten wickets in Division 4.

Jamie Clark took 6-22 as Kennington were shot out for 90, before Nick Gleave and Mark Small both scored 44 not out in Fudge’s 94-0.

Chesterton beat Wantage by 47 runs to stay in second place.

Jimmy Appleton’s 6-20 helped to skittle Wantage for 94 after Chesterton had posted 141 all out.

John Bacon (66no) helped Fringford to a 23-run victory at Charlbury 2nd.

Fringford posted 191-5, and then dismissed their hosts for 168, despite 69 from Josh Hornsby.

Great Horwood 2nd moved out of the relegation zone with a four-wicket win over Deddington.

Nick Glister claimed 4-28 in Deddington’s 150 all out, before Robby Taylor hit 62 not out as Horwood reached 152-6.

Wootton & Boars Hill slumped to a 15-run defeat against Eynsham.

Ben Smitten (66) led the way in Eynsham’s 211-8, before three wickets apiece from Gary Cook and Luke Bowles helped to restrict Wootton to 196-9.

Swinbrook posted a mammoth 316-4 as they hammered Oxford Rescue & Cassington by 154 runs in Division 5.

George Grace slammed 120 and Tim Martin 107 in Swinbrook’s huge total, which Rescue were never likely to get close to.

They were all out for 162 in their reply, Richard Parker taking 3-44 and Jack Bullivant 3-54.

At the other end of the scale, Brill’s nine men were shot out for 22 as they lost by nine wickets to West Witney.

Martin Clutterbuck and Ankur Srivastava took three wickets apiece, and then West Witney took just 19 balls to reach the paltry target.

Leaders Garsington 2nd fell to a 34-run defeat at Stanton St John Willows.

Ashley Pike hit 60 in Willows’ 158 all out, Arshad Mehmood taking 5-31.

Sharaz Rana then claimed 4-29 as Garsington were bowled out for 124.

Josh Bishop (71no) led Kilkenny to a seven-wicket win over Wolvercote.

Uffington eased past Stanton Harcourt by 95 runs.

Adam Viner (57) and Steve Willis (52) led Uffington to 174-7, before Stanton were dismissed for 79.

In Division 6, Kidlington closed in on the title with a 117-run victory over Minster Lovell 2nd.

Craig Woods (68) and Ralph Bishop (61) helped Kidlington post 258 all out.

Minster were then bowled out for 141 in their reply.

Marcham moved up to second with a nine-wicket win over Westbury 2nd.

Neil Patel took 5-42 in Westbury’s 102 all out, and then Dan Pitcher (52no) and Stuart Armstrong (48no) led Marcham to 106-1.

Dorchester beat Hanney by four wickets, chasing a victory target of 144, while Shrivenham thrashed nine-man Kings Sutton by seven wickets.

In Division 7, Hook Norton 2nd stayed clear at the top with a 68-run win at Stonesfield 2nd.

Adam Bennett hit 40 in Hook Norton’s 161 all out, Paul King claiming 5-26.

Michael Palmer then took 4-32 as Stonesfield fell to 93 all out.

Sameer Pathak hit 78 not out to lead Oxenford 2nd to a four-wicket win over Sunningwell.

Robert Hussey scored 93 in Sunningwell’s 235 all out, Richard Rowley taking 5-74.

But Pathak then led the way for Oxenford as they reached 238-6.

Steventon stayed top of Division 8, despite an eight-wicket mauling by Chadlington 2nd.

Matthew Duester took 4-23 to help dismiss Steventon for 102, before Jason Chipchase (35no) and Paul Duester jnr (32no) led Chadlington to 105-2.

Second-placed East & West Hendred 2nd also crashed to a surprise defeat as they lost by nine wickets at Ducklington.

After bowling their visitors out for 106, Andy Walker scored 50 not out to see Ducklington to 107-1.

Stephen Cooper took 5-37 for Eynsham 2nd, but it was in vain as they lost by 27 runs against East Oxford, while Chesterton cruised to a seven-wicket win over West Ilsley 2nd.

In Division 9, Swinbrook 2nd crushed Charlbury 3rd by nine wickets to go top.

Nigel White took 3-14 in Charlbury’s 75 all out, before Tom Julian (31) led Swinbrook to 79-1.

Previous leaders Chipping Norton 2nd crashed to a 117-run defeat at Radley 2nd.

Matt Leach hit 64 not out in Radley’s 158-7, which proved way beyond Chippy, who were shot out for 41 as Richard Cook took 5-14 and Dave Norris 4-22.

Simon Townsend’s 102 not out led Kidlington 2nd to a five-wicket win at Witney Swifts 2nd.

Batting first, Swifts scored 206 all out, Rob Craddock scoring 50 and Michael Tippett taking 4-32.

Townsend’s unbeaten ton then led Kidlington to 209-5.

Broughton & North Newington 2nd closed the gap on leaders Wolvercote 2nd with a 94-run win over Sunningwell 2nd.

Alex Dawson top-scored with 52 in Broughton’s 262-6, before Sunningwell were restricted to 168-5 in reply, Colin Thorpe hitting 51 and Pete Whinfrey 48.

Deddington edged past Kilkenny 2nd by eight runs.

Steve Poole took 5-27 to help dismiss Deddington for 137.

But three wickets apiece for George Barbeary (3-6) and James McPhee (3-42) ensured victory for Deddington as Kilkenny were bowled out for 129.

In Division 11, Dorchester 2nd stayed clear at the top with a two-wicket win at Westcott 2nd.

Hugo Stagg took 4-12 in Westcott’s 119 all out, and then Mike Ottrey hit 44 not out in Dorchester’s 120-8.

* Kidlington clinched the Steve Dixon Memorial Cup with a seven-wicket win against Uffington at Fringford.

Batting first, Uffington lost two early wickets, before Alan Johnson hit 44 to help them recover to 140-8, Tom Bozman taking 3-15.

Kidlington had no problem reaching the target, however, man-of-the-match Jimmy Ewers scoring 53 to see his side to 141-3.
