Bletchingdon let slip an early lead as they went down to a 6-3 defeat against Stonesfield in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division.

They started well, with Danny Bone heading a 15th-minute opener, only for Stonesfield to level five minutes later when Tim Wyatt’s free-kick was put into his own net by Lewis Morrison.

Stonesfield went ahead on the half-hour mark when George Redknap fired in from a tight angle.

Danny Sherbourne made it 3-1 when he converted a pass from Wyatt.

Bletchingdon pulled a goal back after the break when Morrison scored at the right end, nodding home an Adam Wells free-kick.

Redknap then drilled home a free-kick into the bottom corner for 4-2.

A strike from an acute angle by Danny Thomas cut the deficit, only for Dave Fletcher to divert Dy Noonon’s cross into his own net. Nick Clarke completed the turnaround.

Matty Hillsdon hit a hat-trick for Charlton United as they boosted their Division 1 title hopes with an 8-0 hammering of Long Crendon.

Anthony Davidson (2), Sam Caple and Kieren Cross wrapped up the rout, which saw them go level on points with leaders Riverside.
