Westbury's revival ended as they went down to an eight-wicket defeat against Freeland in Division 1.

Les Hole captured 5-40 as Westbury were all out for 118 and then hit 38 as Freeland reached 119-2.

But there was better news for Westbury the next day as they reached the semi-finals of the Airey Cup with an 11-run victory against Oxford Carribean.

Michael Loggin (57) and Matthew Smith (39no) steered Westbury to a 224-8 total, before Caribbean were bowled out for 213, Josh Nix taking 4-42.

Caribbean were penalised 12 penalty runs for a slow over rate – the key to Westbury’s victory.

In Division 2, Marsh Gibbon crashed to a 102-run defeat against Minster Lovell.

Minster reached 188-9, despite 5-40 from Steve Turner.

Matt Green (4-30) and Ed Dunn (3-9) then skittled Marsh Gibbon for 86.

Fringford lost by six wickets against Letcombe.

Richard Taylor took 6-36 as Fringford were bowled out for 171, before Letcombe eased in.

In Division 3, Westcott lost by 87 runs against Witney Swifts.

Swifts rattled up 308-8, before Westcott were bowled out for 221.

In Division 4, leaders Brill were shocked by Minster Lovell 2nd, losing by two wickets.

Jack Simpson took 6-18 as Brill fell to 89 all out, before hitting 30 in Minster’s 92-8.

In Division 5, Trevor Price starred for Chesterton in their four-wicket win over Great Horwood 2nd. He took 5-24 as Horwood fell to 193 all out, then hit 60 as Chesterton reached 195-6.

In Division 11, a century from Ami Mishra helped Chesterton 2nd to 228-8 against Ducklington 2nd, who were all out for 101 all out, Lee Prpa taking 6-21.
