HORSPATH Hammers’ Will Jeffery produced a faultless performance when representing England Under 18s in the Junior Home Internationals.

The 16-year-old won all four of his races to earn England a convincing success against the best riders from Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Racing from all four gate positions under this format, Jeffery hit the first corner ahead in all four rides in an impressive show of powerful gating and racing.

England finished on 65 points, well ahead of runners-up Ireland on 37.

Jeffery re-joins his Horspath teammates this weekend down in Southampton, where the Hammers will be hoping to retain the prestigious Gold Cup which they won superbly last season.

They will be taking on teams from Poole, Newport and Exeter.
