PROMISING Bicester player Christelle Rajapaksa (right) ended her junior career by winning the Cippenham Open under 18 event at Slough with a borrowed bat.
On her run to the final, during which she defeated Kidlington’s Vicky Coll, the handle on her bat had broken.
However, that did not stop Rajapaksa beating Avon’s Isobella Khan, ranked almost 100 places above her, in four games to lift the trophy.
