THE Conway family were celebrating after Zofia and her brother Oliver both claimed victories at the Twyford Triathlon.

The siblings provided Bicester Traithlon Club with their only successes.

Zofia was first in the TriStar1 girls category.

Olvier’s success came in the TriStar3 boys class, ahead of Bicester’s Louis Bushby and Sam Mjugana who came ninth and 14th respectively.

In the TriStar1 boys competition, Thomas Styles was third, one place ahead of Jarryd Claydon-Folley, with Jack McGrath and Thomas Auty sixth and 14th respectively.

Tim Jones was seventh in theTriStar2 boys competition.

Bicester’s other podium finish came from Amelia Cox, who was third in the TriStar 3 girls category, while Lucy McGrath came sixth.

Bicester’s husband and wife team of Carol and Stuart Matthews fared well in the Immortal Half Wimbleball in Somerset.

Carol won her 50-59 age group title by covering the 1.2 mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1 mile run in 7hrs 1min 33secs. She finished ahead of her husband, who finished in 7.15.24.

Darren Jolliffe was 14th in the Marlow Triathlon, where the 750m swim took place in the River Thames.

Martyn and Stella Lever recorded 1.19.03 and 1.33.15 respectively in the sprint distance at the Cardiff Triathlon.
