MIKE Proctor, of Bicester Blue Fins, won an amazing three medals in the British Masters Long Course Championships at Plymouth.

His highlight came in the 25-29 age group 100m butterfly where he took gold in a personal best time of 59.85secs.

He also produced pbs as he claimed silver in both the 50m butterfly (25.82) and 100m freestyle (55.02).

Proctor, who has worked hard both in and out of the pool, said: “All the hard training has helped me execute those swims and that felt very special.

“I am most proud of my three pbs as its shows my progress and development. “Hopefully I can replicate this in October at the short-course nationals."

Bicester clubmate Andrew Smith claimed a bronze medal in the 30-34 200m freestyle in a time of 2mins 13.0secs.

He was also fourth in the 50m butterfly (29.72) and sixth in the 100m freestyle (58.93).

The other two Blue Fins swimmers competing also secured top-ten finishes.

Competing in the 25-29 age group, Alison McGregor came sixth in the 50m butterfly (36.37) and seventh in the 50m freestyle (32.14) – both times were personal bests.

Tim Ashley-Sparks came ninth in the 65-69 100m breaststroke in a pb of 1.46.25.
