Bicester Triathlon's Thomas Griffiths finishes the Ironman Lanzarote with a big smile
CHRIS Finister was the first home of the three Bicester Triathlon Club members, who raced the Ironman Lanzarote.
Finister completed the 2.4-mile swim, the112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run in a pb of 11hrs 43mins.
Paul Leverton recorded 12.11 and Thomas Griffiths 14.03.
Leverton’s nephew, Romi Edwards completed the Kids Duathlon (1000m run, 400m swim, 1000m run) in 17mins 04secs.
Simon Emmerson celebrated qualifying to represent Team GB in the world series next year by coming fourth in the Darley Moor Sprint Distance Duathlon in 1.01.48.
Bicester’s Kate Lowe recorded 2.54 in the biennial 14.7-mile multi-terrain race ‘The Eiffage du Viaduc de Millau’ in France.
