ALEX Lynn is hoping to build on the promising pace he showed two weeks ago when he takes to the grid in Uruguay this weekend.

The Grove-based driver was restricted by a grid-place penalty in the last round of the FIA Formula E Championship in Mexico City.

But he was still able to finish tenth to help the DS Virgin Racing team sit fourth in the standings.

Lynn is aiming to turn that pace into a strong points haul at Punta del Este today.

He said: “It’ll be another new track for me, so I’ve been working hard in the simulator, since Mexico City, to prepare for the race.

“As a team, we showed we had the pace to compete at the top last time out and I’m hoping to replicate that in Uruguay.”

The Panasonic Jaguar Racing Team, based in Grove, are third in the standings.
