FIFTEEN members of City of Oxford helped Oxfordshire & North Bucks retain their Division 1 place at the National County Team Championships.
A team of 28 swimmers, selected from six clubs, represented the county at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
The Championship sees more than 900 swimmers from 36 counties compete in two divisions, with races over three age groups – 12-13, 14-15 and 16-17 years.
The ONB team finished 11th to secure their place in top flight.
Many of those selected were youngest in their age group and were competing for the county sSquad for the first time.
At the presentations afterwards, 12 first-time squad members received medals in recognition of their selection, while those returning to the squad were presented with their county colours.
Th team were coached by Craig Oliver, from Bicester Blue Fins, whose ex-member Lottie Wynne-Jones now represents Milton Keynes.
