OXFORDSHIRE made a flying start to their BDO Inter-County Championship campaign with a convincing 25-11 victory at home to County Durham in Division 1.
The hosts won all four contests, starting with the ladies B team, who triumphed 5-1.
Laura Ross took the player-of-the-match award with an average of 14.54.
Neil Russell with a super average of 28.36 as the men’s B triumphed 7-5.
This was the top display of the weekend, for which he collected a £100 prize.
Oxon went into the second day with a 12-6 lead, which was extended when their ladies A team won 4-2, led by Deta Hedman, who hit eight tons.
Jaine Telling made a winning debut.
The men’s A wrapped up a fantastic weekend with a 9-3 success.
Another debutant Kieron Smith starred, taking the man-of-the-match award, as Oxon became the early season pacesetters.
