OXFORD City Stars have added Czech forward Kamil Kinkor to their squad as an import signing.

The 26-year-old has already been a big hit playing in England, having bagged 28 goals and 31 assists in 34 games for Streatham Redskins two seasons ago.

A move to Bracknell Hornets last year was disrupted by a broken leg, but Kinkor is raring to go for Kenny Redmond’s side after a full recovery.

He said: “After my injury last year I never thought I’d play hockey again. Then Kenny called me up, asked how I was doing, and whether I was ready to play.

“I told him I came to the UK to play hockey, so I’m always ready.”

Redmond said: “It’s great to see Kamil bounce back from last year’s injury.

“He’s worked so hard over the summer and even returned to the Czech Republic for some intense training.

“He will be a top player in our league and is determined to prove he’s back to his best”.

Stars fans will get their first chance to see Kinkor on August 27, at the club’s season launch event, to be held at Oxpens from 4pm.
