STUART Leonard’s unbeaten half-century helped steer Marsh Gibbon to a six-wicket win over visitors Chadlington in Division 2 of the OCA League.

Very tight bowling by the home side restricted Chadlington to 135-8 in their 45 overs, Kevin Duester scoring a battling 69.

Leonard then struck 68 not out as Marsh Gibbon reached 139-4 in reply to earn victory.

High-flying Westcott’s promotion hopes suffered a setback as they fell to a 43-run defeat against Clifton Hampden.

Richard Beard’s 52 helped Clifton to 158-8, Alimar Khan taking 4-25 in the OCA League encounter.

In reply, only Mark Strong (41no) got going as Westcott were dismissed for 115, Julian Hitchman claiming 4-24.

Fringford were walloped by ten wickets against Cairns Fudge in Division 3.

Nine-man Fringford were shot out for 72, before Tom Small hit 57 not out as Fudge eased home.

Leaders Brill were too strong for Dorchester as they cruised to an eight-wicket victory in Division 4.

Andy Wynd claimed 3-29 as Dorchester were restricted to 168-9 in their 45 overs.

Harry Wilson (80) then led the way for Brill as they eased in at 172-2.

Westcott 2nd were beaten by 13 runs at home to Division 8 North leaders Charlbury 3rd.

Jim Astle top-scored with 48 as Charlbury set 191-8, and then Paul Jenkins returned 4-20 in Westcott’s 178 all out, Gary Ellis top-scoring with 63.
