BEN West’s superb season continued when he starred for Oxfordshire at the CAU Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships at Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire.
A week after winning the Oxford Mail Cross Country League’s Under 17 title, the Bicester teenager pulled on a county vest.
West put in a fine display to lead Oxfordshire home in the under 17 event, finishing 25th out of 263 finishers in a time of 20mins 57secs.
Clubmate Millie Couzens came 52nd in the under 13 girls event, helping the county finish 14th.

BICESTER veteran David Kuester competed at the 34th British Open Masters Indoor T & F and Winter Throws Championships at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre.
Kuester’s best showing was in the heavy hammer, where his effort of 12.94m earned him fourth place in the 70+ age group.
He was in the top five in the hammer, discus and javelin events.
