CAPTAIN Fergus Taylor says there is a real focus about Oxford University with less than a week to go until the 135th Varsity Match.
The Dark Blues face Cambridge University at Twickenham on December 8 bidding for an historic seventh victory in a row.
Second row forward Taylor, who will win his third Blue and first as captain next Thursday, named his squad earlier this week.
And the 24-year-old, who is studying a masters degree in literature and arts at St Catherine's College, has noticed a change in his side since the team was confirmed.
He said: "Everything is really good, it is always nice after the squad announcement.
"A lot of anxiety the guys were feeling disappears.
"There is a nice feeling, everyone knows where they stand and are focused on the job."
Oxford have won an unprecedented six Varsity matches in a row and are bidding to make it 60-61 in the overall head-to-head.
