JACK Self’s last-gasp goal salvaged a 1-1 draw for Banbury United at home to Merthyr Town last night.

Mike Ford’s side trailed to a first-half Jarrad Wright header in their Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division clash.

But Self’s 90th-minute strike sealed a point for battling Banbury.

Didcot let slip a 2-0 lead as they were beaten 3-2 at Salisbury.

Sam Barder put the Railwaymen ahead after nine minutes of their Division 1 South & West clash, and added a second on 34 minutes.

However, Tommy Wright pulled a goal back six minutes before half-time and Justin Bennett made it 2-2 on 69 minutes.

Bennett then netted six minutes from time to seal the hosts’ fine comeback.

North Leigh also failed to win after going 2-0 ahead – Shortwood United hitting back to earn a point in a 2-2 draw.

George Seacole bagged a first-half brace to put John Brough’s side in control.

But Liam Meredith pulled one back in the 62nd minute and Steve Davies levelled 16 minutes from time.

Wantage Town were beaten 1-0 at home by Winchester City, with Craig Feeney’s second-half strike proving the difference.

Kidlington lost 3-2 at home to Aylesbury in Division 1 Central.

Lee Stobbs fired Aylesbury ahead in the first half.

Jack Dunmall levelled for Kidlington two minutes after the break, only for Montgomery to put the visitors back in front six minutes later.

Anaclet Odhiambo made it 2-2 on 71 minutes, but Barry Deacon’s strike eight minutes later gave Aylesbury victory.
