OXFORD City Stars have signed Hallam Wilson after agreeing to allow brothers Ben and Josh Ealey-Newman to sign for Bracknell Hornets.

The club will receive a fee for the talented pair.

Wilson, 18, joins having scored 19 goals in 35 games for Basingstoke Bison’s National Ice Hockey League Division 2 side.

Stars head coach Simon Anderson said: “Because of our injury situation I was actively looking for a couple of replacements, but this was made even more important once we knew that a couple of our players would be leaving.

"I moved quickly to secure Hallam's services.

"After speaking to Hallam's Coach Simon Beere in Basingstoke, it became apparent that Hallam's skill and style of play would suit us perfectly."

On the departing brothers, Stars director James Schall said: "We received a transfer approach in the middle of last week from Bracknell and had conversations with the brother’s representatives shortly after that.

"It was clear the two felt their immediate future lay away from Oxford.”
