MILLIE Couzens capped a fine season with a hat-trick of wins in the last round of the Oxfordshire Young Athletics League at Horspath.

The Bicester under 13 runner was victorious in the 800m, high jump and long jump.

Amber Parker was in good form in the same age group, setting a club record and national grade 3 effort of 7.71m to win the shot, while Erin Farbi landed the B-string title.

Parker then smashed her previous best in the javelin, throwing 20.13 for second, while Amelia Cox clinched the B event.

The same duo placed second and third respectively in the discus.

Georgia Usher was also victorious in the under 13 category, winning the B high jump.

In the under 15 competition, Molly Acton came second in the 800m and third in the 300m, while Holly Hunter was runner-up in the javelin.

Lauren Garside set a club record in the shot where her 8.48m was good enough for third.

She achieved the same position in the long jump, where she was supported by Rushani Aramugham, who was second in the B event.

There were also runners-up spots in the B events for Holly Hunter (1500m) and Charlotte Hewett (75m hurdles).

In the boys, Ben Groves won the under 13 high jump, clearing 1.30m.

Hamish Turnbull recorded pbs for second in the 200m B string and third in the 100m.

Samuel Rayson was again in good form in the 75m hurdles, with a national grade 3 effort of 14.20.

Michael Cadle smashed his personal best in the javelin, with a new mark of 21.27, and Aiden Fitton did the same in the B event where he threw 14.82 for second.

Thomas Whitely ran well for third in the 800m, while there were bests for Jamie Girling in the discus and Finn Graham in the shot.

In the under 15s, Tom Couzens came second in the high jump, in which Joseph Rayner was runner-up in the B event, as well as the 800m and long jump.

Jamil Welham was second in the 300m, with Joe Lidicott winning the B event.

Sam White also ran a pb of 12.92 for third in the 100m and Samuel Worfolk recorded a best in the shot.
