MARSH Gibbon were one of only a handful of teams to record a result in the OCA League as they thrashed hosts Wootton & Boars Hill by eight wickets in Division 2 on Saturday.

Joe Leonard took 5-22 as Wootton were shot out for 112, before Stuart Leonard hit 46 not out to lead Marsh to 115-2.

In Division 3, Fringford’s match at home to Kidlington was abandoned after the visitors had set 212-8.

Hari Lehal top-scored with a fluent 92, Ian Hedley taking 4-39 for Fringford, before the heavens opened.

Westcott’s match at Tetsworth was also washed out just after the home side had been bowled out for 172, Nikunj Patel topscoring with 52.

In Division 9, Westcott 2nd also had their match called off at home to Charlbury after a promising performance with the ball.

Jim Forrest (4-36) and Mike Herriott (3-34) had combined to dismiss Charlbury for 138.

However, the match was ruined when the rain set in, which decimated the programme.
