BICESTER completed their third comeback victory in a row when winning 3-2 at Ashford 2nd in Middlesex BB&O Division 1.

After conceding two goals in the first ten minutes, Bicester won with a second-half hat-trick from Dave Sutcliffe.

Ashford dominated early on and netted twice – once following a brilliant run and the other after a defensive mistake.

The visitors were still trailing with 20 minutes to go.

After Sutcliffe pulled one back with a deflected shot following a piercing run from Jonny Reid, goalkeeper Nathan Elliott made two important saves to keep Bicester in the game.

They equalised with ten minutes to go as Sutcliffe netted with a well-placed finish.

Sutcliffe then completed the comeback and his hat-trick when he scored from the rebound after his initial shot had been blocked.

Bicester are now up to fourth in table, with West Hampstead 3rd their visitors this Saturday.

  • Bicester Ladies went down 4-2 away to to local rivals Oxford Hawks 3rd in the Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division.

After Hawks took an early lead, Bicester levelled through Sheryl Philpott.

Two quick goals by Hawks in the second half gave them a 3-1 lead, but Bicester halved it through a Shannon Cameron strike with 15 minutes to go.

Hawks sealed victory from a short corner five minutes from time.
