Bicester have to beat West Witney in their next game to have any hope of staying in Division 1 after losing 6-0 at Carterton in the Oxfordshire League, sponsored by Bridle Insurance.
RESULT
Carterton 84 (6), Bicester 54 (0) (Carterton skips first): A Martin 24, P Hooley 12; G Walker 19, K Taylor 12; B Sparkes 21, E Sheffield 16; P Sharman 20, A Hall 14.
Meanwhile, a Bicester four’s hopes of going to the National Championships at Royal Leamington Spa next month were dashed when they were thrashed 25-10 in the Oxfordshire BA semi-finals by host club Banbury Borough.
Skip Paul Hooley’s side of Robert Pink, Allan Hall and Kevin Taylor proved no match for Borough’s four of Keith Holloway, Jamie Wilkinson, George Schwab and Mark Sykes.
