Lottie Wynne-Jones was in blistering form in the second weekend of the ASA South East Regional Championships in Portsmouth, claiming victory in all three longdistance events in the age 11/12 category.

Added to her eight golds from last week, the Bicester Blue Fins star is responsible for all 11 of the club’s gold medals in the competition.

Finishing 16 seconds clear of the next competitor in the girls’ 400m individual medley, Wynne-Jones’ time of 5mins 19.64secs was a new club record.

She also won the 400m freestyle in 4.42.64 and the 800m freestyle in 9.41.36, with a winning margin of 19 seconds, both of which were club age group records.

There were three more medals for Maddy Powell in the same age category, with silvers in the 400m individual medley and freestyle, as well as a bronze in the 800m freestyle.

Kieran Bird set a new club record time of 16.21.18 on his way to a silver medal in the under 16 1,500m freestyle.

In the under 13 girls’ 400m individual medley, Tabitha Watkins was just two tenths of a second from a podium place.

Josh Rowland also narrowly missed out on a medal in the boys’ age 15 1,500m.

Bicester also made their debut in the relay events, with the girls’ age 14-16 squad of Ellie Falkner, Neve Gascoyne, Sinead Vine-Nealon and Chloe Wanless winning the 4x100m medley and freestyle, setting new club record times in both disciplines.

Their achievements were matched by Bird, Callum Laird, Rowland and William Whitley in the boys’ age 14-16 4x100m medley and 4x200m freestyle events.
