OXFORD United have signed Giorgio Rasulo on loan from MK Dons until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old has made 13 appearances for Karl Robinson’s side, but only featured for them once this season.

Rasulo, from Banbury, is a creative midfielder and will be available to make his debut against Mansfield Town at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.

He said: “Oxford are a really good club.

“I’m here to get some game time because it’s obviously difficult at MK. I’m really looking forward to it.

“The club (United) are trying to play like the Dons, so it’s not going to be any different for me.

“I just wanted to go on loan and play at the highest level, which I feel I’ve done.”

Rasulo is the second player to make a loan switch from MK Dons in a week, following George Baldock.

And it was while scouting the full back earlier in the season that the England Under 18 international appeared on United’s radar.

Head coach Michael Appleton, who intends to use Rasulo as a substitute to begin with, said: “The interest we had in George Baldock earlier in the season meant Giorgio came to the fore.

“He’s at a club that are riding high at the top of League One, they have high hopes for the kid, but he’s certainly someone we think could be an impact player for us between now and the end of the season.”
