Chinnor coach Matt Williams is unsure whether Henley’s first defeat of the season will work for or against his side tomorrow.

Hawks, who lead National 2 South, saw their 14-game winning start to the season come to an end with a surprise 30-7 defeat at mid-table Worthing Raiders last week.

Chinnor entertain Henley looking to avenge a defeat earlier in the season, but Williams is keen his side concentrate on their performance, rather than the opposition.

“Henley will be looking for a response, and will come out all guns blazing.” he said.

“We are on a good run, but have not got to worry about the opposition.

“We haven’t lost at home in a long time, and if we can play to the best of our ability, we will give Henley plenty to worry about.”

Chinnor are without second row Daz Oliver, who is missing with a groin injury.

For Henley, George Eastwell will start at centre in place of Tom Allen, who is at full back allowing Jake Randall to take his preferred position of left wing. Lloyd Owen is unavailable.

Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas, who played at Chinnor last season, will again be a replacement.

Will Woodward gets the nod in the second row alongside skipper Dave Clements.

Tom West is named at loose head prop, with Hugo Milford Scott and Dave Manning named on a strong-looking bench.

Dan Barnes, who was at Chinnor last season is also a replacement.

Oxford Harlequins ring the changes for their home match at promotion-chasing Brixham.

Alan Purchase reverts to his normal lock position, with Adam Neal dropping to the bench.

Shane Hill steps up to blind side flanker, Richard Battson switches to open side and Lloyd Willcocks takes over at No 8 after recovering from injury.

Ethan Carlisle switches from fly half to scrum half, with Will Sharratt moving to fly half position from centre to form a new half-back partnership.

Jack Robinson goes to wing from full back, with Jack Avery coming in at No 15.

Ed Yeats returns to the wing after injury.

Ben Nichol returns to the Grove squad for the first time in more than a year ahead of their South West 1 East clash at Towcesterians.

Nichol has fought back from serious illness and is named amongst the replacements.

Craig Burrows’s squad is hit by a host of unavailabilities, however.

Dave Wells and Henry Day are all on holiday, Harry Carr is out with concussion while Owen Gustafson is sidelined with a hand injury.

“It’s amazing to have Ben back in the squad,” Burrows said.

Witney scrum half Gareth Campbell is injured for their clash at home to Newbury Blues, so Arron Lambourne comes into the side.

There is a new second row combination of Richard Haire and Mark Copperwheat, while James Monks starts at centre.
