Bletchingdon's woes at the bottom of the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division continued as they lost 3-1 at home to Riverside on Saturday.

All four goals were packed into an eventful first half.

Jerome McSporran and Paul Brough put the visitors two goals up, before John Webb pulled one back for Bletch.

But Charlie Brough restored Riverside’s two-goal cushion five minutes before half-time and despite their best efforts, Bletchingdon were unable to reduce the deficit after the break to make it ten defeats from their opening ten games.

Oakley United Res ended Division 2 leaders Mansfield Road Res’ ten-match unbeaten run with a 1-0 home win.

Jonnie Clarke prodded home just ten minutes in after Bradley Newman’s free-kick had been dropped.

And the pace-setters were unable to find a reply.

Charlton United Res let the lead slip as they went down to a 4-1 defeat to Broughton & North Newington Res.

An Ed Arnold own goal put the home side ahead at half-time.

But a second-half brace from Joe Kigham and further goals from Carl Taylor and Charlie Meredith turned the match on its head and gave the hosts victory.
