Bicester Men extended their unbeaten record in Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1, with a 2-2 draw at home to Banbury 2nd on Saturday.

The hosts trailed 1-0 at half-time, but after a half-time rollicking from coach Andy Brown, they levelled within two minutes of the restart through Ian Oak.

Bicester took the lead when Jonny Reid netted from CJ Birtles’ brilliant free hit, but Banbury equalised ten minutes from time.

Bicester 2nd slumped to a 6-0 defeat at Reading University Knights in Division 5.

A goal from Olly Hartley was in vain as Bicester 3rd lost 2-1 at Tring 3rd in Division 7.

Bicester Ladies 2nd drew 2-2 against visitors Kidlington in Trysports Three Counties League Division 2.

Bicester took an early lead through Jan Southam, but Kidlington levelled through Abbie Hiles from a short corner.

In the second half, Ellie Desmond put the visitors ahead.

But Bicester did not give up and equalised late on through Southam’s second goal.

Julie Giles scored the winner for Bicester 3rd in a 1-0 home success against Buckingham 4th in Division 6.
